My identify is Nick Bresso. I reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, which is solely north of Detroit. My lawn is in Zone 6a. We moved to our house 4 years in the past and began with a clean slate for the lawn.

various foliage plants in fallLow Scape Mound aronia (Aronia melanocarpa, Zones 3–9), golden yew (Taxus, Zones 4–7), and ‘Emerald Gaiety’ euonymus (Euonymus fortunei ‘Emerald Gaiety’, Zones 5–8) have all completed neatly in dry soil beneath an enormous pine.

Throughout the summer time, the dogwood has inexperienced leaves edged with yellow, and the hosta has inexperienced leaves with gold facilities. As you’ll see, within the fall the dogwood turns purple and white, and the hosta turns gold and white.

close up of bright red and orange japanese mapleI really like Eastern maples, however this ‘Autumn Moon’ number of full-moon maple (Acer shirasawanum ‘Autumn Moon’, Zones 5–8) has my favourite fall colours.

Yews (Taxus spp.), boxwoods (Buxus spp.), and arborvitae (Thuja spp.) are the core of my lawn, with a ‘Bihou’ Eastern maple (Acer palmatum ‘Bihou’, Zones 5–9) including some colour.
